Terms & Conditions – Hyde Park Retreat
1. Reservations & Payments
A reservation is confirmed once payment or a deposit has been received.
All prices are quoted in ZAR (South African Rand).
Full payment is required before arrival unless otherwise agreed.
2. Cancellation Policy
Hyde Park Retreat operates with a combined refundable window + non-refundable period:
Full refund for cancellations made 20 days or more before arrival.
Cancellations within 19 days or fewer before arrival are non-refundable.
No-shows are charged at 100% of the booking amount.
Early departures are non-refundable.
3. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: 15:00 – 18:00
Check-out: 10:00
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.
4. Children & Extra Guests
Children are allowed / not allowed (tell me which you prefer).
Additional guests or extra beds are only permitted by prior arrangement and may incur extra charges.
5. House Rules
No smoking inside rooms or indoor areas.
Quiet hours: 22:00 – 07:00 (or tell me if you want different times).
Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless approved by management.
No pets allowed unless arranged in advance.
6. Damage & Loss
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to property, furnishings, or equipment.
Hyde Park Retreat is not responsible for loss of money, jewellery, or personal belongings left unsecured.
7. Liability
Guests enter and stay at Hyde Park Retreat at their own risk.
The owners and staff are not liable for injury, theft, or damages except in cases of proven negligence.
8. Safety & Security
For safety reasons, the premises are restricted to registered guests.
Guests must comply with all safety instructions for pool areas, braai facilities, or parking (if applicable).
9. Privacy (POPIA Compliance)
Hyde Park Retreat respects your privacy. Personal information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or for the fulfilment of your booking.
10. Force Majeure
Hyde Park Retreat is not liable for disruptions or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including load-shedding, water outages, strikes, or natural disasters.
11. Acceptance
By making a booking, paying for a reservation, or entering the premises, guests automatically agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
Standard Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away.
50% refund for cancellations made up to 7 days before check-in.
No refund for cancellations within 7 days of check-in.
Early Departures / No-Shows
Early checkouts or no-shows are non-refundable.
Reservation Modifications
Modifications (date changes, guest count adjustments) are subject to availability and may affect pricing.
Host-Initiated Cancellations
If the host must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances:
Guests will receive a full refund.
Assistance will be provided to help find alternative accommodations.
Force Majeure
Events outside our control (natural disasters, power outages, severe weather, etc.) may not qualify for a refund unless required by Airbnb’s policies.

No parties or events of any kind.
Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
No smoking inside the house.
Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
No pets unless pre-approved by the host.
Please respect neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Cleanliness
Please leave the home in a reasonably tidy condition.
Wash any used dishes before checkout.
Dispose of trash in the designated bins.
